F1 2022 Update 1.08 Brings New Balance – Patch Notes

F1 2022 has today received its latest update, 1.08, and we have the accompanying patch notes right here. F1 2022 has had something of a rocky launch since its release on July 1, 2022. Fans of the series have been underwhelmed by the latest yearly entry into the series, largely complaining about bugs and issues still being present from previous titles. Hopefully, today’s 1.08 and accompanying patch notes are the start of a turnaround for the game. Check out the full 1.08 update patch notes below.

“Hey drivers,

Patch 1.08 is available now for F1® 22 on all platforms. Check out what’s in this patch below:

  • Rebalancing of AI performance in Career

Please note that this update will apply to all current and existing saves.

After this patch, please anticipate an average decrease in Career difficulty by five. You may need to alter your save game settings for the best experience.

AI balance is something that players have complained about since launch, so while these patch notes are pretty short. Hopefully, the update goes someway toward easing players’ frustrations with one of the most crucial areas of the game.

Right now, F1 2022 has mixed reviews on Steam, with the current percentage sitting at just 66%. Comparatively, last year’s F1 2021 holds a very positive rating on Steam, with a rating of 86% on the platform. If there’s one thing that yearly titles need to do, it’s to be better than the game that came before. Unfortunately, for F1 2022, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
